Scorching Summer

Hey There People!

I am sure that I am not alone in being totally excited about the prospect of a long hot Summer this year (pretty please Universe??)! In fact my family and I insisted on having a barbecue this past Bank Holiday despite the fact that it was raining...we're getting a bit desperate :) Hurry up Summer!

So seeing as the weather was refusing to cooperate, I fell back to Plan B: a scorching hot manicure of course! Initially I planned on using neon nail polish over my bronzey base but it just looked completely gross. I couldn't subject you to that, it would be mean.

This is what I came up with the second time round :)

I started with a base of Champneys 'Chestnut' which always makes me think of a hot beach somewhere whenever I look at it! As this polish is a metallic with hints of frost, it came out brushstrokey.

But a fellow blogger came to my rescue! Fashion Polish has discovered a way to get rid of those icky lines-yay! Her technique also smoothes out bubble…

Amethyst Glamour

Hello Everybody!

Firstly, I just want to say sorry for my lengthy blog absence; my family and I received some bad news and as a result I haven't felt like doing any nail art. But things are getting a bit better now so I'm trying to get back into my routine :) Today I've got an extra sparkly manicure to show you!

This glittery nail art is centred around a gorgeous dense glitter nail polish; Barry M 'Amethyst'. I love this glitter baby because it has such an unusual combination of glitters (silver, black, purple, magenta and aqua blue) and with careful application can cover the nail in one coat!! Unbelievable.

In order to keep the manicure cohesive, I only used colours similar to those in 'Amethyst'. On my pointer and pinkie nails, I used Barry M 'Guava' (so bright!). I also used China Glaze 'Gothic Lolita' on my thumb and Essie 'The Lace Is On' on my middle nail. Finally on my ring nail, I created an accent nail with Barry M 'Ame…

Lady In White

Hello People!!

I think it's pretty safe to say that we all have our favourite nail polish brands! I tend to take it that little bit further (as you do) and split mine into categories.. ahem. Overall though, I loveBarry M because they have a great colour selection for very reasonable prices (perfect for nail art) and their latest collections have literally BLOWN MY MIND!!

Today I'm going to show you a gorgeous nail polish from one of my favourite collections; The Royal Textured Glitter Collection.

Barry M 'Lady' is a lovely pearl white textured polish with iridescent glitter pieces. It's beautiful! I painted my pointer and pinkie nails in 'Lady' and the rest of my nails in China Glaze 'Dandy Lyin' Around'. These are both very sheer but that's to be expected with such delicate white polishes.

Over the textured polish, I painted a dry-brush gradient with OPI 'Up Front & Personal'. I decided to pair these pretties with a delicate vin…
